“She is a beautiful, class act and can contribute hugely to the tales you have to tell. Her ability to communicate mysteries deep within completely captures the lens’s attention and marks her out from the rest. There is no doubt that she possesses that rarest of qualities that can carry stories.” says Director David Penn about Séverine.
« I grew up in a very earthy environment, deeply attached to my grand-parents, with whom I developed solid values, an endless curiosity and a healthy appetite for being outdoors. My first foreign languages classes were a revelation. I was fascinated by the change of perception they offered. Traveling became my first priority, robbing the Zenith Camera from my Dad, harassing him with technical questions. Light, aperture, sharpness ! I shot my first Dia roll at age 13, capturing faces and atmospheres. Before long I was in a darkroom, developing photos for my schoolmates, shooting stills of local rock bands, or directing short sightseeing videos from a skateboard for the local tourist office. After graduate courses in International Studies at York University in Toronto, I entered the National School Louis Lumière in Paris to study photography and cinema. Acting eventually imposed itself as the ideal passion to feed my endless curiosity and thirst of exploring human nature. I love characters who break stereotypes, question the rules or play with appearances. Rebellious, visionnary, adventurous, mysterious or dangerous, they should all be fighting for something bigger than themselves. »
